Alright two hashes one salted SHA1 from a Macintosh OS X Tiger machine, and one from IPB 2.3.5
Note the IPB hashing algorithm is double-hashed. Mac Root Hash Hash: 2B74D47199B354D472437CCB57040A21FACB72CF4B5B0AF4 Salt: root IPB Hash: 509840f358e585c633ebafe3e071472b Salt: FpTo; I've been scanning for hours...to no avail. I tried both dictionary and brute force. If you solve if you will get my eternal praise. Thanks. |

You need to find the specific hashing algorithm for each one.
Even if you have the salt, it won't do you much help if the algorithm you are using differs from the one used to create the hash you are comparing it to. |

The Macintosh algorithm, to my best knowledge, is just salt:hash
IPB is a bit more complicated, the hashing algorithm is as follows: Code Highlighting :: Select Code |
