http://www.sightmax.com/compare.html

I would love to have all the features that Sightmax offers but I don't want to pay for it. I would like an open-source option.. something that is currently supported..

Crafty Syntax doesn't seem to be a good one.. has anyone used helpcenterlive? Do you have any suggestions?

HCL isnt supported well. admins are slow in responses. beta hasn't been released for v3 but it's been done for almost a year.

I love the windows app. I use x64 widows 7. I really like all the features SightMax has.. any help?

I have only used providesupport.com before and liked it.

Here are some I found:

http://www.webappers.com/2009/02/13/open-source-live-support-web-messenger/

http://shareme.com/programs/live/chat-support-open-source

Haven't tried any of the open source ones.

pyr0t3chnician, I was hoping you will reply because I know you work with clients and was a better possibility for knowing of a solution, however, providesupport.com is not a free solution but a cheap one.

True. I will ask a couple of my friends today and hopefully get back to you in a few hours.

If you ever know a client who needs a toll free number. let me know if you're ever going to get one because I will send you a request and we both will get $25.

Both of the people I talked to used providesupport only, and haven't used anything else. I checked SourceForge.net and found a couple that look really professional for open source:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openlivesupport/

http://sourceforge.net/projects/shinelivehelp/

Other than that, I am out of ideas. Anyone else have input of this?

I asked a couple people already about the 800#, but both were negatory. I will keep you posted if I get someone to bite on the 800#.
