#1 key black listed? on November 12 2008 21:11
ok so i use Kaspersky 7.0.0.125, and its worked fine for several months, but over the last few days, kaspersky has been constantly telling me my key has been blacklisted. now i paid my $59 dollars to get it, and i got a pop up every 3 minutes. i also no longer have the key, so re-installing would most likely not be effective.... any ideas anyone

If you bought it and after a while you get that your key has been black listed. It probably means someone jacked your key, or generated the same one (if keygens out there).

If you had proof of purchase, you would be able to reclaim it back.

If not, you can always use Free AVG :P

Well thats what I do, I have AVG installed to scan files I download which I dont trust, and if I get a virus which I cant remove then I'll do a fresh install of windows. There is nothing like a fresh install of an OS, the performance boosts. Plus I got 2 harddrives, one with data and the other with the OS. And my important information is saved online or on a flash drive, so nothing to loose. :D

Ah, sorry : Save up for a small $400 laptop. There are some good inexpensive ones.

Quote from WikiAnswers
Downloading proprietary software is illegal (except for trials). This is called piracy. Using serial numbers that you did not purchase is also illegal, even if you purchased the software and lost your serial number (see above for obtaining a new one in this case). It is also illegal to use key generators (keygens) which provide serial numbers as well as cracks to bypass expired time trials or entering a serial number and no-CD cracks which enable you to use the software without the original purchased CD for the software.
And that goes for any software.
There is no "more illegal" or "less illegal", there only illegal
