he used the power of being black, then mixed it with the fact that he promised lower to middle class tons of money.
he used a sort of robin hood technique, taking from those who can afford it and giving to the poor. but the lower class don't realize taking from all the large scale businesses they use everyday like walmart and mcdonalds will raise all the prices and make the economy worse. ![]()

i meant that he literally used his race as a factor in getting elected. and it worked.
out of all the blacks that voted, 1% voted for McCain.... and he would talk in general for who he was helping, but that generalization would be based around how a common black family lives.... ![]()

i agree with Jcapra, although, my mom is white and she voted for Obama, so not all white people voted McCain, and not all blacks voted Obama, but the majorities of blacks _did_ vote Obama. its not racism, its fact, and this video proves they had no knowledge of his policies, the greatest factors were that he was black and that the media made a mockery of Sarah palin

Quote from jcapra i meant that he literally used his race as a factor in getting elected. and it worked. out of all the blacks that voted, 1% voted for McCain.... and he would talk in general for who he was helping, but that generalization would be based around how a common black family lives.... I completely agree with that statement. did you know radio station went out to the polls and were telling ppl "obama's plan" and they were all african americans. they all agreed with "his" plans and said thats exactly what they needed. those plans were those of McCain. They told them that after... and they still voted for Obama. I really dont care anymore.. but dont be stupid and vote just because of his race. ![]() ![]() |

Quote from mrdotkom lol creepy. and i care. this president will set the tone for the future. if one president can win based on his skin color, then i can win based on my epic cock! One, you won't win based on your epic anything, because I don't believe it to exist ;) But more to the point, I agree that Obama got alot of votes because of his nationality, but I do not condemn him for that. Obama didn't win because of his nationality, even if it helped, it was not THE decisive factor. About 12.4% of the United States population is black or considers themselves to have African descent (from the 2000 census) Even if every one of them voted, it is no guarantee that he would win, though it is certainly a large demographic. It's funny dotkom, I thought you were pro-obama (or at least anti-everyone else) before he won. IMHO, Obama won because of three reasons. 1) most important: He is the democratic candidate after a failure of the republican president to satisfy the needs of the country during his presidency. So just saying change in general was enough for people to be on his side, and even though him and McCain both wanted change according to their campaign, McCain was republican, and Obama was much more radical. 2) Second most important: McCain essentially hung himself with the vice-president choice, though he won Alaska because of it....woo, 3 electoral votes ![]() 3) Least important factor, though still important: Race....it did have a part to play, even if I wish it didn't, it was a large part. It got him 99% of the votes of the 12.4% of the American Population with the African-American vote. It could also be said that other minorities could have voted on him for that reason, though it could also be his policies just as much. White Americans (according to the American Community Survey) make up 76% of the American population. So you can't seriously, imo, blame him for winning because he was black. Oddly enough, I don't really even like Obama that much. I am a small-government person myself...they are there to protect us and not much else. But he won with both the electoral vote AND the popular vote. He is a very intelligent person, and a very eloquent speaker, who, at least it seems, has good intentions. So while his policies are not my favorite, I wasn't a fan of McCain either, and he has won fair in square in pretty much every arena, so I respect him and wait in curiosity to see how he handles things. EDIT: I don't really care to be honest, but it just seems sometimes that people are bitching just for the sake that it is fun to bitch and to have something to bitch about. Not that any of you are like that, but some people around me, especially at school, are like that, and it pisses me off. Angst and will to find shouldn't cloud logic....anyway, that is why I wrote that, because I have spent all day listening to people talk about how he won because he was black. He actually is intelligent and certainly was a qualified candidate, just as much as McCain (though I hate his economic plan.) So yeah, just had to edit this little reason for posting in here. May the Winds be with you. |

he does have good speaking skills. but i do not like him. i feel if there is no victim there is no crime. So, for example drug prohibition. theres no reason for it. Just there to generate revenue.
Also, he wants to tax my family more... which sucks because i never liked robin hood =[ Freaky Transvestite Paradox = FTP |
