I see this all the time on torrents, it's the type of quality (how it was done to get it) of the video. I haven't found any programs that can take a DVD & extract its video data like that so plainly. SO.. can somebody please describe to me how this is accomplished?

What i do, is i just rip the entire iso to my compy and then its full quality. dont understand why people dont just do that....

why? litterally, iso's are better quality, and if you use VLC you can just mount the iso and watch it.... soooo much easier especially if you want to be able to burn it to work on a DVD player later.

Why? Because that is the question he asked :P
But true, The ISO quality is better, which is why I do that. However, there are instances where it is necessary or convenient to make it into a video format. 1) if you are trying to save space, only have one or two GB left to spare. 2) You are putting it on an iPod or another device. 3) most stream-to-tv things, such as the appleTV and stuff require you to have it in a video format.
