Well, I need a laptop. I'm selling my current one to "trade in" for something more portable.
Here are the three laptops that I'm looking at. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3990149&CatId=17 and this one.. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3748439&CatId=17 then this one.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147784 So, I need some feedback. What one would you get? I'm looking to spend 500 max. So if you find a better deal then let me know! USER: Hello Tech Support? I can't print... ME: Try cursive then <hang up> |

My opinion : third.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147784 Why?Because the microprocessor is the better than other two,and have also 3GB or RAM,and I think that have better Video Card than others. Nothing. |

my opininon. get parts. keep your old case and order new parts. will end up being cheaper. :P
some of the most expensive things on a lappy are the screen and keyboard/case. if you can find a better motherboard thats compatible and upgrade your cpu and ram and keep your hdd you got yourself a new lappy :D of course you will be breaking any warranty but homebrewed is best :) ![]() ![]() |

I agree with SirGod, that HP DV is better than all the other ones. The only thing about it is that newegg doesn't specify the ram speed. I assume its PC2-5300 like the others, but you never know.
I'm also for the DV series because my friends have them and never had a problem with them. I'd recommend getting rid of Vista. Don't go with Acer they are exactly like eMachines, they have some sort of self-destructive timer. Seriously. |

yeah-- I don't want to upgrade my motherboard or anything for a laptop. I mean, it's a great idea and I know I can do it.. but; I want something that's going to work. Yeah-- now I just need to sell my current pc.. get a laptop.. and continue to build my next pc.
Thanks everyone. USER: Hello Tech Support? I can't print... ME: Try cursive then <hang up> |
