#1 My Dream Car (in progress) on January 19 2009 01:22
This is where I will log things that I do to the car:

PHOTOS:

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=16540619&albumId=2377920

1993 Mitsubishi 3000Gt Vr4 Twin Turbo Intercooled
Color: Silver

Engine: DOHC, 24 valve, 3.0-liter V6 that produces an incredible 100hp/liter for a total of 300hp STOCK.

AWD & AWS:
The AWS is a same-phase system that turns the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels (hence same-phase) at speed. The rear wheels turn up to 1.5 degrees in-phase providing excellent yaw and lateral acceleration response. When changing lanes at speed the car literally "shifts" over a lane, rather than following the nose over.

The Active-Aero system on the VR4 provides a negative lift coefficient of up to -0.07 to greatly improve high-speed stability. The car is literally sucked down to the road.

------
1-18-09

Oil Change
First Wash
Floor Mats
Small Interior repairs
Leak found in front left corner (could be power steering fluid or oil)
Leak in rear pass tire (AWD power steering fluid line needs to be changed $70 or so)
Paint is peeling in some locations so it needs a paint job.
Clutch needs adjustment and bearing needs replacement.
Basic Tune up needed (spark plugs and the works)
Seats need re-upholstery
Need new shift boot and brake boot.

After those basics are finished I will move onto tuning it up to out perform your average car on the road. :D

Bumping an old thread for teh lulz

But yeah Im thinking of mounting some LEDs on the hubcaps of my Benz and rigging them with a switch so that when they're on you get an effect similar to this:
Image

whatcha think?

If that doesnt pan out i might just put them in the wheel well so it lights up right over the wheel similar to this:

I agree, over the wheel. On the rims, it might be a little busy/crazy looking. No to mention, how would you wire it if it was on the wheels unless you had the battery and everything mounted on the wheel itself... Seems like a lot of work, and you might not get the effect you wanted.

Yeah everyone has under car neons these days. I try to distinguish from those who payed someone to put them on and those who rigged it themselves :p

MDK they sell valve stem caps that have the leds built in as seen on the bike pic. They have little watch batteries in em and they are pressure sensitive so as the tire goes faster it makes them come on. [looks pretty silly imo]

and the wheel well lights look damn fine if you match them up with a nice set of underbody lights [imo]

Lol i know its not legal. Its 100% illegal in Jersey. I don't see why it is illegal if its victimless. Whose gonna think im "interfering" with law enforcement because theres a fucking green light under my wheel wells?

all colors are illegal in my state :[. you guys know that wont deter me though :P
