Welcome to Zero Identity
Please take few minutes to read through this page as well as our privacy policy.
Introduction:
Welcome to Zero Identity. The aim of this project is to provide knowledge about security to all members. We provide simulated scenarios and vulnerabilities, to know how it functions. Zero Identity is a safe, free, and legal environment for all to enjoy. Please take a minute to read the features and rules of Zero Identity before continuing.
Zero Identity is a community based website, and we have several means of communication.
-Shout box:
The quickest way to say something to the people viewing the website, is to post a shout. Shouts can be viewed by anyone, and generally are not seen for very long but are useful for a quick comment. The shoutbox has a 7-day archive. Any posts older then 7 days, will be deleted permanently. We also advise you do not use the shout box to ask for challenge help, take this as your free warning, and use the forums for that.
-Forums:
The forums are the best way to communicate with the community as a whole. Every member will be able to post and reply back to any topic created. It is a great way to ask for help in challenges or independent studies, or just have an open discussion about day-to-day things. It's up to you and we welcome all members to the forums for discussion.
-Private Messaging:
If you want to talk with someone privately, simply visit their profile and click "Send Private Message" underneath their avatar or by going to Private Messages under your user menu, composing a message and writing their user name on the "to" field. If there are any messages older than 30 days they will be deleted automatically.
-Profile Commenting:
You can easily communicate with other members by also simply sending them a profile comment, located at the bottom of their profiles. Remember that profile comments are visible by all members and personal information between you and that user should be posted with caution. Profile comments can be summed up as permanent "shout" to the user, it's also a great way to congratulate a member on their work.
Ajax is implemented in a few features of our site, to help you keep you updated on a real-time basis.
The website's core function is to educate in the field of technology. Our simulated challenges test the individual user's skills in a competitive scenario, with live rankings. Most challenges have a unique answer only usable by the user doing the challenge at that specific time. This creates a great way to train, as you will be able to re-do challenges without the temptation of simply putting the answer you got last time in, it simply wont work. There are actively growing articles, submitted by the users of the site, videos for visual training, and a code bin for snippets of code useful in programming, divided into easily identifiable categories.
Staff:
Zero Identity is own and ran by 3 users. They are a team who have been working with each other for several years in websites and technology exploitation.
- Grindordie
- Hack4u
- Frozen
Other administrators are:
- tancurrom
- Aquilo
It would be wise to be on your best behavior to the administrative staff. We are pretty casual about it though, just show respect to us and we will respect you.
Reputation System:
Zero Identity is leaning towards a democratic community by involving members to basically put each other in check. We developed a member reputation system which works relatively simple. If your a helping member in the community, and people appreciate your work, they can give you a positive feedback. If you become a problem and are doing more harm then good, im sure people would be more then willing to give you negative feedback. Now of course it is harder to get positive feedback, but if you do, there are a handful of benefits. If ever you have a warn % level, the higher your feedback, the faster it will reset to 0%. Your warn level only drops when you have positive feedback. When members view your profile, they will be able to see your feedback rating. The better the rating, the more respect you'll have received, and newcomers will know you are one to be respected.
Point System
After completing challenges here at the site you will be rewarded with points that will displayed in the rankings of the site. More points means you get a higher rank. So the more points you get the better reputation you will have for being the best at this site. You also have ghost points which you can collect by being active in the site. This can deal with submitting an article or something else which will also be ranked.
Warning Levels:
In our community, we have established a warning system. If you make an offense, we will give you a warning to tell you not to do it again. In your profile you will see a warn level. It is defaulted at 0%, which means you have not done anything wrong. The more offenses you make, the higher that level will increase. When it reaches 100%, consider yourself automatically banned. There is only one way to have your warn level lowered, your reputation. For example, you have a 20% warn level. You also have 10 positive feedback ratings, at the same time, you have 2 negative. Your reputation ratio is 5:1. At the end of the day, your ratio will be used to decide the % decline in your warning. At this rating, you would drop 5%. Tomorrow you will be at 15% total warn level, and unless your reputation ratio changes, you will drop another 5% by the end of the day. Eventually leading to 0%, a fresh start. Your warn level does not increase if your negative feedback is higher then your positive.
Reasons you will be banned:
Spamming, depending on the severity will get you a heavy warn level, or instant ban.
Unauthorized access to the site, without proper justification, will be an instant ban.
Hacking the site without reporting and performing a defacement will be an instant ban.
-We do not need to explain our reasons if ever we ban you. Take it as a simple hint we do not want you apart of our community.
We hope you enjoy the website, please let us know your views in the forums on how we can better develop it. Thanks for becoming a member.
